Summer Begins

Its been quite a long time since I am writing on the blog again. I have been super busy, believe it or not. I spent the first week of the term enrolling into my thesis course, which I was unable to do earlier because of some mistakes made at the Registrars Office. For the first time, I have two days of classes - Tuesdays and Thursdays. This means I have an extra long weekend every weekend. I hope this does not end up distracting me from studies. Summer terms tend to be my favorite ones since there is so much to do.

This summer will be Legen-(wait for it; keep waiting)-Dary and filled with awesomeness. So I decided to start of the summer by visiting Casa Loma. The picture of Casa Loma above was actually captured on camera during my visit. Its beautiful isn't it. What fascinates me about Casa Loma, is that this is not a castle built by some king or emperor. It was built by Sir Henry Pellatt (what a visionary), a prominent Toronto financier, industrialist and military man. Here is a fun fact about Casa Loma: Initial estimates for it was $250,000 when the price of an average house in Toronto was $2,500; this means that by today's standards it would be $50 million. I am totally in awe with the career Sir Henry had. Whatever he touched turned into gold; but just as all good things come to an end he had a sad ending to his life. Enough of history :P, this is an awesome place and a must visit for all Ontarians.

My Blog goes online!!!

Hi All,

A very good day to all of you. My exams just got over, and I have decided to use the time in between the winter and the spring terms to start a blog. I want to share my opinions on a variety of topics with friends and family through this blog. As a student in Canada, I am often quite busy and do not have enough time to talk to a lot of people I would have otherwise liked to. Hence I would use this blog to connect to people far away from me. I hope to be regular on my blog. I don't know if I am disciplined enough for this. I will try to make an entry every two weeks atleast.

Anyways that was enough of the introduction and all the stuff about my blog...Hahahaha

So, my exams got over a few days ago. This time the exam schedule was brutal. I had two exams on one day. In all the four years I have been at Waterloo, this is the first time it has happened to me. I hope they went well. Now its time for me to catch up on sleep and being lazy. On second thoughts I am actually happy with the exam schedule, since it ended on the day the IPL started. I would be able to follow each and every match. I think its a good time for me to start going to the gym. As usual I have gained the extra weight during the exam times.

Back to IPL: It is actually quite difficult for me to follow a particular team in the IPL. All I want to see is some quality cricket. I will write in one of my future blogs about the teams in the IPL. If I had to pick one team at this time, it has to be betwwen KKR and MI.

Anyways, that was enough for my first post. I will be back soon!!!!
